Billboard Music Awards 2023 Announce Nominations, There Is A K-pop Category!

JAKARTA - There is something different from the Billboard Music Awards 2023. This year, they added four new categories related to the K-pop genre.

The four categories are Top Global K-pop Artist, Top K-pop Album, Top Global K-pop Song, and Top K-pop Touring Artists. The development of K-pop music today is undeniable to have an international effect.

A number of K-pop artists even managed to sell out their concert tickets in a series of stadium tours. In addition, these K-pop artists also lead the international music charts, including Billboard.

The 2023 Billboard Music Awards winners will be determined from tracking from November 4, 2022 to October 12, 2023.

Apart from the nominations, several artists such as Jimin competed in the Top Selling Song category competing with Jason Aldean, Miley Cyrus, Oliver Anthony, and Taylor Swift.

NewJeans is also one of the nominees for the Top Billboard Global category outside the United States against Bad Bunny, Ed Sheeran, Taylor Swift, and The Weeknd. FITY FIFTY, which is at odds with its agency, also received appreciation from Top Duo/Group with Eslabon Armado, Fuerza Regisda, Grupo Frontera, and Metallica.

The Billboard Music Awards 2023 will be announced on November 19.
