Ji Sung Gets Thriller Drama Offers With Jeon Mi Do

JAKARTA - Ji Sung seems still interested in the thriller genre. Recently he received an offer to star in the latest Korean drama titled Connection.

SURPASS Entertainment, which oversees Park Bo Young's husband, confirmed this news. They said the actor was considering the offer.

Ji Sung received an offer for the role of Jang Jae Kyung, a head of the narcotics team from the Police Department. He became the heir to 5 billion won over the life insurance of his high school friend who died.

Connection is a drama that tells of a friendship that goes into conflict after the death of a schoolmate and leaves 5 billion won in assets. The heir to the property must solve the mystery behind his friend's departure.

Apart from Ji Sung, actress Jeon Mi Do also received an offer for this drama and played Oh Yoon Jin, a woman who returned to her hometown after being fired from her job. She also lost her husband and child as well as her dead high school friend.

The drama Connection is directed by Lee Tae Gon in collaboration with writer Lee Hyun. Previously they had worked together through the Diary of a Prosecutor.

This is Ji Sung's latest drama from SBS after several roles through thriller genre dramas. In 2017, he won the Grand Prize thanks to his acting through the drama Innocent Defendant. He also last chose The Devil Judge who had a similar genre.

If Jeon Mi Do accepts this offer, Connection will be her latest drama after starring in Thirty Nine in 2022. Debuted television in 2018, Jeon Mi Do's name became popular when she played in Hospital Playlist.

The plan is that the drama Connection offered to Ji Sung will air in early 2024.
