After Acting On Clobot Cigarettes, Alexandra Gotardo's Voice Changed

JAKARTA - Alexandra Gottardo plays the character of a mysterious woman named Melati in the Losmen Melati The Series. Her role this time is quite tough, because she is required to smoke klobot cigarettes in many scenes.

"The challenge was probably because I had to smoke earlier, because it was a klobot cigarette," said Alexandra Gottardo to the media crew in Gandaria, South Jakarta on Wednesday, August 16.

In order to explore Melati's character, Alexandra had to get used to it for two weeks. During that time, he learned how to smoke klobot cigarettes, which in fact are not commonly consumed by the public.

Because she smoked for two weeks, Alexandra admitted that her voice was slowly changing. This is exacerbated because he is not an active smoker before exploring Melati's role.

"Maybe because it's not an active smoker, then the klobot is a kretek cigarette, yes, automatically the voice changes for a long time, so it's enough to feel it," said Alexandra Gottardo.

"Two weeks before filming, because it was really hard, it wasn't white cigarettes that had filters, it was from corn skin and large," he continued.

However, the 38-year-old actress felt she had to remain professional. She doesn't want to get rid of Melati's characteristics with her cigarettes that are always present in almost every scene.

"For someone who is not an active smoker, it's quite difficult, and almost every scene with the characteristics are cigarettes, from the initial episode to the end, the difference is really different. Maybe if I continue to look really different," he said.

After filming was finished, Alexandra Gottardo was grateful that her voice could return. He admitted that he had his own way so that his voice would not change too much, one of which was consuming drinks mixed with spices.

"I always have ingredients. So in the morning I shoot making red ginger ingredients, turmeric, lemon, and honey," he said.

In addition to minimizing so that his voice does not change, consuming spice drinks is also useful so that Alexandra does not fall ill. He admitted to consuming the drink every day before filming.

"Yes, it's my drink every day. If you don't drink it hurts, because after filming I don't smoke anymore," concluded Alexandra Gottardo.
