JAKARTA - Indra Bekti has undergone surgery for the umpteenth time since experiencing a brain hemorrhage in December 2022. This time, the 45-year-old presenter underwent sinusitis surgery.

Cipta, the younger brother of Indra Bekti, said that his brother had complained about the problem with his ear. After being examined by a doctor, it turned out that the problem came from his sinus.

"So, it turns out that from yesterday's series of operations, he felt there was a disturbance in his ear, it felt a bit sore. Then, he heard that it was a bit unclear on the right," said Cipta to the media crew on Radio Dalam, South Jakarta on Tuesday, August 1.

"Then, after checking with the THT, it turned out to be from the sinus. The team of doctors decided to operate the sinus first, then they could solve the problem with their right ear," he continued.

Meanwhile, the operation took place today, and has been completed. Inbek, Indra Bekti's nickname, is known to have been in the operating room for two and a half hours.

"The operation was, because I was still in line, I finally got surgery at 11 o'clock, then it was finished at half past 2," said Cipta.

According to Cipta, Inbek has had problems with its sinus for a long time. However, the infection stemming from the problem in sinus was only discovered after a recent examination.

"The initial cause may be sinus, yes. From a young age, Indra does have sinus. Every morning, sometimes if you're in the car, always throw it away. Yes, it turns out that there is a sinus that eventually has an infection to his ear," he said.

Regarding the relationship between this operation and the rupture of blood vessels in the brain that have also been experienced, Cipta feels unrelated. He saw that the problems in Indra Bekti's sine had already occurred compared to the rupture of blood vessels in the brain.

"If that's the case, we don't know, whether the cause was a rupture of his blood vessels, but not really, because it wasn't in a condition that he was wasting his heart just broke. Yes, because he had a complaint, we finally found out that the sinus was already infected," concluded Cipta, Indra Bekti's younger brother.
