JAKARTA - President Joko Widodo is scheduled to inaugurate TNI General Agus Subiyanto as TNI Commander at the State Palace, Jakarta, Wednesday 22 November. "The plan is Wednesday (22/11) morning for the President to inaugurate TNI General Agus Subiyanto as TNI Commander," said Presidential Special Staff Coordinator Ari Dwipayana in a short message to reporters quoted by ANTARA, Wednesday 22 November. Previously, the 9th Plenary Meeting of the DPR RI Session Period II Session II Session Year 2023-2024 in Jakarta, Tuesday, approved General TNI Agus Subiyanto as a candidate for TNI Commander, as submitted by President Joko Widodo to the DPR. "Is the report of Commission I DPR RI on the results of a fit, fit and proper test, the candidate for the TNI Commander regarding the dismissal of Admiral TNI Yudo Margono and appointed General TNI Agus Subiyanto as a candidate for TNI commander?" asked the Chairman of the Indonesian House of Representatives Puan Maharani at the DPR RI Plenary Meeting at the Parliament Complex, Senayan, Jakarta, Tuesday. The question was answered in agreement with all members of the DPR and representatives of the faction present at the Plenary Session. Chairman of Commission I DPR RI Meutya Hafid said Commission I had carried out a fit and proper test for the candidate for TNI commander in chief on November 13, 2023 to hear the vision and mission from General Agus Subiyanto. In addition, after listening to and considering views from the factions and members of Commission I DPR, Meutya said his commission approved the honorable dismissal of TNI Admiral Yudo Margono as TNI Commander and gave appreciation for Yudo's dedication.
