Visit Pontianak's Flamboyan Market, Kaesang Dicurhati Harga Sembako Mahal
PONTIANAK - Chairman of the Indonesian Solidarity Party (PSI) Kaesang Pangarep absorbs the aspirations of residents when visiting Flamboyan Market, one of the largest traditional markets in Pontianak, West Kalimantan.
Kaesang visited the market with his wife, Erina Gudono, and other PSI DPP elite ranks. When going around the market, residents raise complaints about the relatively high price of basic necessities.
Responding to the complaint, Kaesang said the central government must fight to reduce the price of basic necessities so that they are in accordance with the conditions of the people's abilities in the regions.
"Yes, the central government must be able to fight for, this is, it can reduce prices that can be appropriate for the community," said Kaesang in response to reporters' questions after visiting Flamboyan Market, quoted by ANTARA, Saturday, November 18.
Kaesang admitted that he did not find any problems in the market. He and his wife also took the time to talk with traders, serve photos together, to buy market snacks and fruits.
"Buy cakes with mangoes," said Kaesang.
It is known, Kaesang continued his political safari by visiting Pontianak, West Kalimantan, in order to greet residents and meet cadres to align steps towards the 2024 General Election.
"PSI consolidation here," he said.
A number of PSI officials were seen accompanying Kaesang, namely Deputy Chairman of the PSI Board of Trustees Grace Natalie, member of the PSI Board of Trustees Giring Ganesha and Isyana Bagoes Oka, and Chairman of the PSI DPP Satia Chandra Wiguna.
"There are a number of activities carried out by Mas Kaesang in Pontianak. The main goal is to greet and absorb residents and meet PSI cadres to harmonize steps," said Chandra explaining the purpose of Kaesang's visit.

Previously, Kaesang carried out a political safari to Medan, North Sumatra and Kupang, East Nusa Tenggara.
In Medan, President Joko Widodo's son had visited the Sei Sikambing Market and expressed his hope that traditional markets in the city would become more modern.
"After all, it must be improved much more modern, it is better but it must be much better," said Kaesang after blusukan at Sei Sikambing Market, Medan City, North Sumatra, Monday (13/11).
Meanwhile in Kupang, the younger brother of vice presidential candidate number two Gibran Rakabuming Raka also took the time to visit micro, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs) and craftsmen of sasando traditional musical instruments.
