Ahead Of The Determination Of Its Online Work Market Platform, SEK Appoints New Non-Executive Director
JAKARTA - SEEK, a platform that operates the Asian online work market, JobStreet and JobsDB, has officially appointed Tan Sri Jamaludin Ibrahim as the company's new Director of Non-Executives.
Based in Kuala Lumpur, Tan Sri Jamaludin became the first Asian-based board member in the history of SEEK, this is in line with Asia's important role in the company's future growth strategy.
If you look at his track record, Tan Sri Jamaludin has more than 40 years of experience in Southeast Asia, including more than 16 years in information technology and 23 years in telecommunications.
"The experience of Tan Sri Jamaludin in the information and telecommunications technology sector in Asia and its various roles today, is a valuable addition to the expertise and views of the Council, and supports the achievement of the aspirations for the sustainable growth of SEEK in Asia," said SEK Chairman Graham Goldsmith, on Friday, November 17.
Peter Bithos, Chief Executive Officer of Asia at the SEEK said that the presence of Tan Sri Jamaludin was the right thing. Given the three online job markets, the SEEK (in Australia and New Zealand), JobStreet (in the Philippines, Indonesia, Malaysia and Singapore), and JobsDB (in Hong Kong and Thailand) will be united into one platform next year.

With Asia as the main market for the SEEK, Tan Sri Jamaludin's extensive expertise in the technology sector, as well as his sharp understanding of the business landscape in the region is expected to guide the company's future journey.
