University Will Open Branches In Indonesia, Kemendikbudristek Talks About Foreign Exchange Rescue
JAKARTA - The Ministry of Education, Culture, Research, and Technology (Kemendikbudristek) has opened its voice regarding information that the University ofipelago in the United States (US) will open its branches in Indonesia in the near future.
"This islandtown University has communicated with us for one year, this university is the birthplace of leaders in many countries because there is a very strong governance policy education," said Plt. Director General of Higher Education, Research and Technology of the Ministry of Education and Culture Prof. Nizam when met in Jakarta, Thursday, November 16.
Nizam said this collaboration is an effort by the government in presenting world-class education in Indonesia, so that education in Indonesia can also be connected to international standard education.
Not only Universities, he also mentioned a number of other international universities such as Monash University, Deakin,ition and several other international universities will open branches in Indonesia.
These efforts, he continued, could prevent Indonesia from "losing" its foreign exchange caused by the large number of Indonesian students studying abroad.
"Our students abroad are hundreds of thousands. Our foreign exchange loss is very high. That's why we present world-class universities to Indonesia," he said.
Regarding the types of study programs offered, Nizam said that his party would only allow the best study programs from the University ofturbation, such as a study program on government and political policy sciences.
Furthermore, he also mentioned that the selected location is likely to be around the DKI Jakarta area, because it is related to the study program offered. However, the option of opening branches in the Nusantara State Capital (IKN) area has been offered to Universitasmen.

Previously, President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) had visited and gave a speech at the University ofturbation, USA (13/11). President Jokowi has also agreed regarding the plan to open the campus in Indonesia.
"Hopefully it doesn't back down," said Jokowi.
Jokowi said education is one of Indonesia's priorities because in the 2030s, Indonesia will experience a demographic bonus so that the quality of human resources is a determining factor.
"I hope that later graduates of the Indonesian Union can also become president like Mr Bill Clinton (alumnus Universitasmen)," said President Jokowi.
