Elon Musk Will Bring Big Changes to the X Algorithm

JAKARTA - The social media platform formerly known as Twitter, X has now announced that it will launch a major update to its algorithm, in the next few days.

Announced directly by the owner of X, Elon Musk said in his latest post that this new algorithm will display posts from "smaller accounts."

While currently the app's For You homepage only displays popular and trending posts from the wider network as well as highlights from people you follow, the new algorithm will expand its scope beyond your network of friends or followers.

With that said, it's safe to say that this change will try to introduce users to new accounts that they might find interesting but haven't discovered yet.

“This will help surface smaller accounts and posts outside of your friend-follower network. "As always, it will be open sourced and subject to continuous improvement," Musk wrote.

Recently, Musk has also announced that X Premium users will be able to get support or troubleshoot by simply sending a message or Direct Message (DM) to the Premium account directly. The appearance of DM Premium will also look like a chatbot.

On the other hand, not wanting to be outdone by Meta, Google, and Microsoft who continue to develop their AI technology, some time ago Musk also launched his first AI model from xAI, a startup that focuses on artificial intelligence (AI).

The team behind xAI, which launched in July, comes from Google DeepMind, Windows' parent company, and other leading AI research companies. Although X and xAI are separate entities, the two companies work closely together.
