But before the launch, there was news that made customers think twice about buying. The US electric car manufacturer determined that the owner of the Cybertruck was not allowed to sell the car back quickly.
How could it be? It turns out that in terms and terms of the vehicle booking agreement and written on Tesla's official website, it states that customers who buy must agree not to resell it in the first year from the date of delivery.
"Only for Cybertruck: you understand and admit that Cybertruck will be released in a limited number first. You agree that you will not sell or try selling it in the first year after the date of your vehicle delivery," the caption reads. quoted from InsideEVs, Monday, November 13.
However, there are exceptions to the statement. If the vehicle owner wants to sell it in the first year of ownership for unexpected reasons, the customer is required to notify Tesla in writing and is also allowed to sell it to another party. If the owner of this car sells it to Tesla again, then they will buy the vehicle at the original price minus 0.25 US dollars per 1.6 km.
So if the manufacturer rejects the approval to buy a vehicle from the owner and the owner sells it to a third party, it will be subject to compensation of 50,000 US dollars or equivalent to IDR 784.9 million.
