Sleaford Vocalist Mods Clarifies His Establishment Of Palestine: No More Murder

JAKARTA - Sleaford Mods vocalist Jason Williamson clarified his stance on the Israel-Hamas war after the band recently stopped concerts in Madrid.

The duo appeared at La Riviera in the Spanish capital earlier this month but decided to end the show early after the Palestinian scarf was repeatedly thrown on stage.

They then discussed the situation on X, previously Twitter, Williamson wrote: 'Don't ask me to choose a side for something I don't know anything about it, at a concert. I'm a singer. My job is music. The only real thing I know about war is that I'm fed up and tired of early deaths like the rest of us. About killing anyone, with any belief.'

He is now back to discussing the incident in a new tweet yesterday, November 13.

"Several contexts are needed about Madrid. I am horrified by the atrocities that have taken place in Gaza and Israel and I am horrified by the atrocities committed elsewhere in the world that have not been reported at this time," he wrote.

"I am angry at the manipulation of human sadness and anger carried out by politicians, media, agitators, and social media platforms to ignite the flames of separation, dehumanization, division, and hatred."

In Madrid, performances were repeatedly interrupted by spectators shouting and throwing flags/sials on stage. I stopped the event for comment, condemned the deaths of civilians and called for no more killings.

Williamson continued by saying that 'this is not enough and the interruption continues. I went off stage after 80 minutes because the cumulative effect was annoying and annoying."

He added: "The next tweet is an attempt to apologize to those present at the event, not comment broadly on the ongoing atrocities. I am as overwhelmed as you are and I have no answer. All I know is that we are all human and there needs to be a meaningful ceasefire. Massacre must stop. Never again. No more killings. Don't."

This happened after Bob Vylan recently criticized the band and IDLES for not speaking out in support of Palestinians.

Shikari, The Last Dinner Party, and Architects are among a group of musicians who have also signed an open letter calling for a ceasefire as the war continues in Israel and Gaza.
