KPU Reminds List Of Names Of Presidential And Vice Presidential Campaign Teams Must Be Handed Over 3 Days Before The Campaign Period Starts
Chairman of the General Elections Commission (KPU) Hasyim Asy'ari reminded the pairs of presidential and vice presidential candidates (candidates-cawapres) to submit the composition of the names of the 2024 presidential election campaign team three days before the campaign period begins.
Based on KPU Regulation Number 3 of 2022 concerning Stages and Schedules for the Implementation of General Elections in 2024, the campaign period starts from 28 November 2023 to 10 February 2024.
"According to the provisions in the Election Law and PKPU, a maximum of 3 days before the campaign starts. If the campaign starts on November 28, 2023, then 3 days before that, November 24 is the maximum limit for each candidate to hand over the names of campaign teams from each candidate," said Hasyim at the KPU RI office, Central Jakarta, Monday, November 13.
So far, two pairs of presidential and vice presidential candidates have announced the list of names of their campaign teams. Prabowo Subianto-Gibran Rakabuming Raka's National Campaign Team (TKN) has 272 members chaired by Rosan Roeslani.
Then, the National Winning Team (TPN) Ganjar Pranowo-Mahfud MD was chaired by Arsjad Rasyid. Meanwhile, the National Team (Timnas) Winning Anies Baswedan and Muhaimin Iskandar alias Cak Imin (AMIN) have yet to announce the list of members' names.
Today, the KPU has determined three pairs of presidential and vice presidential candidates in 2024. The determination was made after the KPU held a plenary session. The KPU has completed document verification including receiving the results of the 3 candidate pairs of medical tests.
The AMIN pair were promoted by the coalition of NasDem parties, PKB and PKS with a total seat of 167 seats in the DPR or 29.04 percent of valid votes in the 2019 election.

Ganjar-Mahfud is promoted by the PDI-P coalition, the United Development Party (PPP), the Indonesian Unity Party (Perindo), and the Hanura Party with a total valid vote of around 39.2 million or 28.06 percent.
Meanwhile, Prabowo-Gibran was promoted by the coalition of the Greater Indonesia Movement Party (Gerindra), the Golkar Party (Golkar), the National Mandate Party (PAN), the Democratic Party, the Crescent Star Party (PBB), the Indonesian People's Wave Party (Gelora), the Garuda Party of the Republic of Indonesia (Garuda), and the Indonesian Solidarity Party (PSI) with a total valid vote of 59.7 million or 42.67 percent.
The KPU has scheduled the draw and determination of the serial number of presidential and vice presidential candidates for the 2024 General Election tomorrow night, namely Tuesday, November 14, 2023 at 18.30 WIB in a plenary meeting at the Indonesian KPU office, Jalan Imam Bonjol, Central Jakarta.
After the serial number is determined, the campaign period for the Anies Baswedan-Muhaimin Iskandar, Ganjar Pranowo-Mahfud MD, and Prabowo Subianto-Gibran Rakabuming Raka will last for 75 days, starting from November 28, 2023 to February 10, 2024.
