IDX Plans To Build Buildings At IKN

JAKARTA - The Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) plans to build a new office in the State Capital (IKN) Nusantara. This is in line with the transfer of the state capital from Jakarta to the East Kalimantan area.

Previously, the financial institution, namely, the Financial Services Authority (OJK) would start the construction of a new office in IKN in accordance with Law No. 21 of 2011 which stipulates that as a state institution it must be located in the nation's capital.

The transfer plan was conveyed by IDX President Director Iman Rachman to reporters at the OJK Jakarta Building.

"We will survey with IKN," said Iman, Monday, November 13.

Previously, Deputy Chairman of the OJK Board of Commissioners Mirza Adityaswara said that his party had planned the construction of a new building at IKN in 2024 and had held a meeting with the IKN Authority to discuss land determination for government institutions including OJK.

"OJK has prepared a timeline for building construction at IKN. So, there are already plans that in principle will start in 2024," he explained.

Mirza said the next step would be followed by a cooperation agreement for the use of state property between OIKN and OJK through a Decree (SK) on land location determination by OIKN in accordance with the scheme for the use of state property.
