JAKARTA - Three suspects in the murder case of DDY who is an employee of Mass Rapid Transit (MRT) have been arrested. The police said the motive behind it was economic problems.
Head of Sub-Directorate for Resmob Polda Metro Jaya, AKBPali Yudho Ully said one of the three suspects with the initials R was in debt. Thus, planning acts of theft and murder.
"The motive of the perpetrators is the economy, in which Brother R has a debt of Rp. 3 billion," Yudho told reporters, Saturday, November 11.
Suspect R is the main suspect because he is the mastermind of the crime. In his plan, he and his partner IS pretended to want to buy the victim's car.
They also met somewhere. In fact, R seemed to have paid off the victim's car by sending proof of fake transfers.
"The evidence of the fake transfer that has been edited. After that, because the victim did not believe in the evidence of the fake transfer, the victim wanted to go home and then was escorted by the suspects," he said.
On that trip, the two suspects killed the victim. They sadistically slashed the neck and stabbed DDY in the car.
After the death toll, they threw their bodies into the East Flood Canal (BKT) River Cakung, East Jakarta.

"Then the victim was dumped in the Cakung BKT water channel," said Yudho.
Previously, it was reported that DDY's body was found floating on its stomach in the Cakung East Flood Canal (BKT) River, East Jakarta, Friday, November 10.
