Residents Of West Kutai Enthusiastically Welcome Jokowi
WEST KUTAI - Thousands of residents of West Kutai, East Kalimantan enthusiastically welcomed the arrival of President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) who attended the Dahau Festival as well as commemorated the 24th Anniversary of West Kutai Regency.
"Adil Ka' Talino, Bacuramin Ka' Saruga, Basenga Ka' Jubata," said Jokowi, starting his speech in Dayak language which was greeted with boisterousness, "Arus... Current..... (Agree.. Agree..Agree)," by local residents reported by ANTARA, Friday, November 3.
This sentence is a cultural greeting of the Dayak Tribe which contains three pillars of life guidelines. Namely fair to fellow humans, reflecting on heaven and the breath of life comes from God.
Jokowi also expressed his happiness to be able to attend to greet the residents of West Kutai in celebrating the anniversary of the district from the expansion of Kutai Kartanegara.
"I am really very happy and happy to be present at Bumi Tanaa Purai Ngeriman at the Dahau Festival which is always awaited by residents of Kubar," said Jokowi in Itho Sendawar Square, reported by ANTARA, Friday, November 3.
Jokowi conveyed a national message. As a large country with diversity that has 714 tribes, Jokowi advised that every citizen should always maintain the integrity and integrity of the nation.
He also praised West Kutai Regency, which he judged was able to maintain the tolerance of religious harmony. And on the same side, continue to preserve cultural traditions.
"I see that the spirit of Bhinneka Tunggal Ika can be realized in real terms in Kubur. I see that it is in harmony and always maintains cohesiveness," said Jokowi.

Jokowi's presence at the Dahau Festival, Kubar, was paired with the awarding of the Honorary Certificate of Custom to the Head of State. The awarding of the honorary title was handed over directly by the Head of the Kutai Barat Regency Customary Institution (LAB), Manar Dimansyah.
Closing a series of visits to West Kutai, Jokowi also interacted with residents, including giving quizzes with bicycle prizes, taking selfies together and greeting the residents present.
