Subaru Continues Celebration Of 50 Years Of All-Wheel Drive In Surabaya
JAKARTA - Subaru celebrates 50 years of success of the All-Wheel Drive (AWD) driving system which is the pride of the brand. This time, the manufacturer held a Subaru DriveFest at the Galaxy Mall Surabaya, East Java, with the launch of two interesting new products.
At the event, the company introduced the Subaru Crosstrek 50 Years All-Wheel Drive Edition and the latest variant of Subaru Outback, which was exhibited from October 30 to November 5, 2023.
Arie Christopher, CEO of Subaru Indonesia, stated that the presence of these two models in front of the people of Surabaya and East Java is a form of the company's commitment to providing models with AWD drivers that have been proven for five decades.
"We believe the features of Subaru Crosstrek 50 Years All-Wheel Drive Edition and Subaru Outback can provide comfort and practicality in driving for the people of Surabaya, with a standout exterior and interior design," said Arie, in a statement received by VOI on Thursday, November 2.
This special edition crosstrek features a modern exterior design, equipped with the All Terrain tires for light off-road travel, as well as an interesting cryptal black finish. Subaru also highlighted AWD's 50-year-old logo and emblem on the back of the head, adding to the exclusive impression from the interior side.
The model is available in limited quantities, only 15 units are sold in Indonesia at a price of IDR 569.5 million on the Surabaya OTR. Meanwhile, the Subaru Outback 2.5i-Touring EyeSight is priced at IDR 814.5 million on the Surabaya OTR.

Subaru DriveFest 2023 was held in four different cities in Indonesia. After successfully holding it in Jakarta, the manufacturer with the'six star' logo also showed off his latest model in Surabaya, while also taking place in Tangerang at the BESD Mall AEON Atrium, and Batam on November 6-12 at Atrium Grand Batam Mall.
