Palestinian Prime Minister: International Support For Israel Means Permission To Kill
JAKARTA - Palestinian Prime Minister Mohammed Shtayyeh said that international support for Israel, which has continued to bombard the Gaza Strip since Hamas' surprise attack on October 7, was "permission for further killing and destruction."
Shtayyeh, in a meeting with ambassadors, representatives and envoys of several countries in Ramallah, called on the international community and friendly countries to create a "united front to stop aggression against the Palestinian people.
"Apart from that, stop plans for displacement and land invasion of the Gaza Strip, as well as pressure Israel to allow the entry of medical and other aid," he said as quoted by ANTARA from Anadolu, Monday, October 23.
He stressed "the need to create and implement an effective political pathway to end the occupation, achieve a two-state solution, and build a Palestinian state."
Shtayyeh said stopping Israeli attacks on the Gaza Strip, and allowing in medical and other aid were his top priorities.

“Successive governments in Israel have followed a strategy of systematic destruction of the possibility of a two-state solution,” he said, adding that the government led by Benjamin Netanyahu implemented a “divide and rule policy by seeking to separate Gaza from the Palestinian national project.
"In addition to attacks on our citizens in the Gaza Strip, we in the West Bank are subject to terrorism from the Israeli army and settlers. There are calls to encourage the settlers to take up arms," he continued.
Meanwhile, the Palestinian Foreign Ministry said Israeli officials "deliberately ignored the Palestinians' concerns and undermined international calls to speed up the resolution process."
The ministry in a statement said Israeli officials "continue to drum up destructive war... which means committing more crimes."
