Indonesian Santri Invited To Use The Internet Healthyly
Deputy Minister of Communication and Information, Nezar Patria, invites students in Indonesia to be able to use the internet healthily so that activities in the digital space become productive and comfortable.
"The most important thing is how to use the internet in a healthy manner. Because we know that several times the moments of the 2014 and 2019 elections for our digital world are full of hate speech," said Deputy Minister of Communication and Information Nezar quoting Antara.
The Deputy Minister of Communication and Information conveyed the invitation so that the students could wisely face the flow of information that was flooded ahead of the 2024 simultaneous General Election (Pemilu).
He asked the students to filter the information properly so that later if they encounter content with hate speech and divide the value of the nation, the students will not be progressive.
Nezar assessed that students in the era of digital transformation are also an active group surfing cyberspace.
Therefore, they need to have the ability to wisely use the internet in a healthy manner. This is also increasingly important considering that today's students are dominated by generation Z and are novice voters in the 2024 simultaneous elections.
In the 2024 election, it is known that the composition of novice voters is quite large, namely 30 percent of the total national voters. With digital skills and skills, it is hoped that the students will be wise to respond to the flood of information flows ahead of the 2024 General Election.
"For the 2014 election, I think the 2019 election will be a lesson for all of us to be wiser in using the internet," said Nezar.

In addition to inviting students to use the internet in a healthy manner, ahead of the 2024 General Election, he also reminded students as novice voters to support the 2024 Peace Election.
According to him, the election should be greeted with joy and not with hatred because it is a democratic party by celebrating people's freedom to choose their leaders.
"So, we welcome this election with more fun and joy because all of you young people are the generation that will determine Indonesia's future. Moreover, we will go to Indonesia Gold in 2045. Not long after," said Nezar.
