RI-Saudi Arabia Strengthen Cooperation Through The Highest Coordination Board
JAKARTA - President Joko Widodo welcomed efforts to strengthen cooperation between Indonesia and the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia by establishing the Highest Coordination Council for Indonesia-Saudi Arabia.
"Because in the midst of a increasingly divided world situation, friendships such as those built by our two countries are increasingly needed," said President Jokowi during a bilateral meeting with the Prime Minister (PM) of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (KAS) Mohammed bin Salman al-Saud at Al-Yamah Palace, Riyadh reported by ANTARA, Thursday, October 19.
Quoted from a statement from the Press Bureau of the Presidential Secretariat, a bilateral meeting between President Jokowi and Prime Minister Mohammed bin Salman al-Saud resulted in several memorandums of understanding (MoU).
The memorandum of understanding was signed by the governments of Indonesia and Saudi Arabia witnessed by President Jokowi and Prime Minister Mohammed bin Salman al-Saud.

In addition to the formation of the Highest Coordination Council between the Republic of Indonesia and the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, another memorandum of understanding is regarding technical cooperation between the National Standardization Agency (BSN) and the Organization of Standards, Metrology, and Quality of Saudi Arabia, cooperation in the fields of youth and sports, and cooperation in guarantees of halal products.
