Reasons For Honda CR-V To Issue Hybrid Variant: SUV Market Is Rising And Positive Response
JAKARTA - PT Honda Prospect Motor (HPM) sees Honda CR-V as the most important model in the country, even always getting a positive response.
This was revealed by Business Innovation and Sales and Marketing Director of PT Honda Prospect Motor (HPM) Yusak Billy. According to him, more than two decades of this one model can be accepted in the market.
"It is very important, for that we start a hybrid variant from CR-V, especially since the SUV market is currently rising in Indonesia," he said, in Bangli Regency, quoted from the Antara website, October 19.
Looking at the existing data, Honda CR-V for five generations from 2000 to 2017 recorded cumulative sales of 237,617 units. In more detail, the third generation who was born in 2017 became the best-selling with a figure of 72,380 units.
Meanwhile, for the next generation (four) also recorded extraordinary sales, ranging from 60,000 units, which further established CR-V to remain in demand.

The birth of the sixth generation with the fuel and Hybrid variants, Honda is quite confident this one model remains the prima donna. Especially in a short time from August-October 2023, there have been a total order of 2,261 units for the All New Honda CR-V model.
"Most of those who buy are people who already have Honda, 50 percent of them are old CR-V users," said Billy.
Of the total, in more detail 1,617 of them are sales of the hybrid variant, while 644 units are turbo variants. Questioning the price, All New Honda CR-V RS e: HEV is offered at a price of IDR 799,900,000 and for the 1.5L VTEC Turbo variant it has a price of IDR 739,900,900,000 on the road in the Jakarta area for the first car ownership in 2023.
