After Indonesia, Mercedes-Benz EQS SUV Will Greet Malaysia Market
JAKARTA - Mercedes-Benz is one of the automotive manufacturers that continues to spread its wings in presenting electric vehicles (EVs) in the global market. This time, the manufacturer will bring one of its models to the Malaysian market.
It was stated that the Malaysian Mercedes-Benz will bring the EQS SUV to neighboring countries. The company will launch the premium EV model on Friday, October 20.
"This effort underscores our dedication to providing innovative electric vehicles and contributing to a more sustainable future for our customers in Malaysia," said Amanda Zhang, president and CEO of Mercedes-Benz Malaysia, quoted from Paultan, Wednesday, October 18.
The Mercedes EQS SUV is presented as an environmentally friendly vehicle offering enough space so that users of this car can feel more comfortable in it.
The EQS SUV is very suitable for use for family needs. This car offers cargo space at the back between 645 liters and 880 liters. In fact, it can be increased to 2,100 liters when the bench is folded.
In addition, the EQS SUV has a wide dimension with a length of 5,125 mm, a width of 1,959 mm, a height of 1,719 airs, and a wheelbase of 3,210 mm. Different from the sedan version, the EQS SUV is 200 mm higher and gets maximum ground clearance.
Mercedes-Benz offers maximum luxury to its interior by carrying the MBUX Hypescreen infotainment system that extends throughout the dashboard.
On the interior, there are three screens measuring about 12.3 inches each of the OLED screen, equipped with Dolby Atmos sound system, with a seven-passer configuration.
However, the manufacturer has not been able to confirm what type to be presented for the Malaysian market. In Indonesia, this car is available in one variant, namely EQS 450 AMG Line. This car is equipped with a double electric motor on the front and rear. The total power issued is 355 dk and the peak torque is 800 Nm.
The electric motor is accompanied by a large battery pack with 108.4 kWh which is an internal power center that can spur vehicles with a distance of up to 610 km according to the WLTP cycle.
