Defeated Wins In Trial Match, France Warns Skorland

JAKARTA - France warned Scotland by a landslide victory 4-1 in a trial match held at the Pierre-Mauroy Decathlon Arena Stadium, Wednesday, October 18 in the morning WIB.

The trial match from two teams that have already qualified for the Euro 2024 finals. But Scotland has to make more improvements so as not to be a joy in Germany.

Scotland themselves made sure to qualify for the finals after being second in Group A. They won a ticket to Germany following Spain's 1-0 win over Norway.

The result of the match made Norway unable to catch Scotland's points 15 and still have the last two matches. Meanwhile, Norway has played seven matches and only got 10 points.

Likewise, France is fighting in Group B. This two-time world champion has never even lost or drawn during the qualifying round. This made France get the perfect points, 18, to get tickets to Germany. While one more ticket was contested by the Dutch and Greece.

Even though they have confirmed their escape to Germany, France still fielded the best squad in the trial against Scotland. As a result, France destroyed Scotland.

This crushing defeat is a warning to Steve Clarke's side to make improvements before competing in Germany.

Success in qualifying for the finals does not guarantee Scotland will be easy to face competition in Germany. The reason is, they are competing with the best teams in Europe.

In that duel, Scotland did a good start. They took the lead when Billy Gilmour scored in the 11th minute at the Brighton and Have Albion midfielder managed to take advantage of defender Eduardo Camavinga's mistake to break into the hosts' goal.

However, Scotland's advantage did not last long. Four minutes later, France has equalized the score through centre-back Benjamin Pavard.

Even Pavard managed to score the second goal after welcoming assist Kylian Mbappe which made Les Bleus lead 2-1 in the 25th minute.

France is increasingly unstoppable. Their attacking game made Scotland always under pressure. As a result, Perncis increased the advantage after Mbappe broke into Liam Kelly's goal from the penalty spot in the 41st minute.

The penalty was given after defender Liam Cooper brought down Mbappe in the forbidden box which was later executed by the Paris Saint-Germain star. The 3-1 score for France lasted until the end of the first half.

In the second half, France did not lower the tempo of the game. They pressed Scotland and managed to increase their lead in the 70th minute.

French goal was produced by substitute Kingsley Coman. The score also changed 4-1 at the same time closing the trial match.
