The Ministry Of Environment And Forestry Investigates The Pollution Of Oil Waste On The Coast Of Lampung
LAMPUNG BANDAR - Ministry of Environment and Forestry (KLHK) is still investigating cases of oil waste pollution in coastal areas in Lampung province that occurred some time ago.
"We continue to explore the pollution of oil waste on the coast in Lampung," said Director General of Environmental and Forestry Law Enforcement, KLHK, Ratio Ridho Sani, quoted by ANTARA, Tuesday, October 17.
He revealed that from the investigation carried out, there were several parties who were indicated to have polluted oil waste in the coastal area in Lampung.
"There are several indications that we suspect are related to the source of oil in Lampung, so now we are investigating, we have a fingerprint for forensics," he said.
He also emphasized that he would take firm action against perpetrators of oil waste pollution on the coast in Lampung.
"Of course we will take firm action. As an example of decisive action, we have detained three ships in Batam. There were even more than 1,400 cases that we previously handled with the suspect, be it directors, regional officials, or individuals, so that is a firm action," he said.
The case of oil waste pollution in Lampung is still investigating, because it cannot take firm action without strong evidence.
"So until now the Ministry of Environment and Forestry continues to investigate the oil pollution that occurred in Lampung. One by one, the steps have been taken, and of course the doubt and firm action will be given to the perpetrators who we suspect are the perpetrators," he said.

Meanwhile, based on data from the Lampung Environmental Wahana (WALHI), pollution in the coastal area of Lampung is known to have occurred from 2020 to the last July 2022, it was recorded that five times this oil waste polluted the Lampung Sea.
