Sri Mulyani Hands Over Fiscal Incentives To Areas That Have Good Performance
Minister of Finance Sri Mulyani handed over fiscal incentives for the 2023 fiscal year to regions that have good performance.
"We designed this regional fiscal incentive because of input from many parties. Local governments are now given a lot of incentives in order to motivate them to do the right things," Sri Mulyani said as quoted by ANTARA, Tuesday, October 3.
On this occasion, the Ministry of Finance distributed performance fiscal incentives for the current year 2023 for the category of controlling regional inflation as well as accelerating regional spending and supporting the use of domestic products.
For fiscal incentives for the regional inflation control category, the Ministry of Finance provides funds of Rp330 billion to 33 regions.
The distribution of incentives related to inflation this time is the second period in the 2023 fiscal year.
According to Sri Mulyani, regions that receive fiscal incentives related to inflation control continue to change.
It shows the competition in this category is going very well.
Meanwhile, incentives for accelerating regional spending and supporting the use of domestic products amounted to IDR 750 billion each.
Sri Mulyani explained that the provision of fiscal incentives was divided based on several categories to improve the quality of local government performance in each category.

In addition, the Ministry of Finance also handed over additional village funds for the 2023 fiscal year to 15,097 villages located in 37 provinces.
In particular, the Ministry of Finance also gave awards to three independent villages for their performance and financial governance as well as good village accountability.
The three villages are Banyubiru Village, Central Java; Tepus Village, Yogyakarta Special Region; and Sukojati Village, East Java).
Each village received a budget allocation of IDR 174.6 million.
"We are ready to support local governments to increase capacity. I hope the areas that make achievements can be an inspiration," concluded Sri Mulyani.
