Police Deploy Inafis Team To Investigate 79 Cianjur Residents Of Mass Poisoning
Cianjur Police deployed an Inafis Team to investigate the case of mass poisoning that befell 79 residents of Kebon Manggu Village, Ciharashas Village, Cilaku District.
Head of Cianjur Police, AKBP Aszhari Kurniawan said Inafis together with the Cianjur District Health Office would conduct laboratory tests to determine the cause of the poisoning allegedly from boxed rice given to residents after attending the Prophet's birthday.
"We will investigate whether there was an element of intent in the incident or not, so that samples of food and vomit of victims have been taken to be tested in the laboratory," he said in Cianjur, West Java, Tuesday, October 3, which was confiscated by Antara.
His party has not been able to conclude whether it was intentional or negligent because they had to wait for the results of the sample test that had been sent to the Bandung Labkesda, which was targeted to have been pocketed in the near future.
"We will process it further after the laboratory test results come out, for now most of the victims have started to improve even though some people are still being treated," he said.

Head of the Disease Prevention and Control Division of the Cianjur District Health Office, Dr. Frida Layla Yahya, said they together with the Cianjur Police had sent samples of food residue and vomit victims to the Bandung Labkesda to determine the cause of mass poisoning.
"We are just waiting for the results of laboratory tests related to samples that have been sent to the Bandung Labkesda, maybe in the next few days the results will be known, but it is suspected that it was due to the boxed rice given to residents after the Prophet's birthday," he said.
