24 Locations Of Expensive Parking Tariffs For Cars In Jakarta, Unqualified Emission Tests And How Much Must Be Paid?
YOGYAKARTA - The Jakarta Provincial Government has imposed an expensive parking rate rule for cars not to pass the emission test starting in early October 2023. This highest parking or disincentive tariff is applied in 24 parking locations managed by Perumda Pasar Jaya Usaha Milik Daerah (BUMD) DKI Jakarta.
This parking tariff rule needs to be known by motorists and car owners in DKI Jakarta. The government's attention to vehicle emission tests has increased since the phenomenon of poor pollution in Jakarta. The highest parking rate for four-wheeled vehicles is IDR 5,000 per hour, based on Governor Regulation 120 of 2012. Meanwhile, the normal tariff is IDR 3,000 for the first hour and IDR 2,000 for the next hour.

Syafrin Liputo, Head of DKI Jakarta Transportation Agency, said that his party was adjusting the data on vehicles that had carried out emission tests. He said the rules for parking rates are new for four wheels at this time, but later they will also be applied to two-wheeled vehicles.
"The initial stage is four wheels first, while we consolidate the data with environmental colleagues," Syafrin told reporters at Monas, Central Jakarta, last Monday (18/9).
Syafrin said the disincentive parking rate for vehicles that have not or failed emission tests will be implemented immediately after data synchronization has been carried out.
