Two Of The Three Firearms Seized From KKB, Owned By The TNI
Head of the Cartenz Peaceful Public Relations Task Force AKBP Bayu Suseno stated that two of the three firearms that were secured from the KKB in Oksibil, Bintang Mountains Regency, Papua Mountains Province, were identified as belonging to the TNI.
Head of the Cartenz Peaceful Public Relations Task Force AKBP Bayu Suseno, as quoted by VOI from Antara, Sunday, October 1, said that the two firearms that were TNI organic were long-barreled SS2 V3_K1 with serial number 93,004236 and a Brouning FN pistol with serial number OT6117.
The weapon belongs to the organic personnel of the Pamtas 725/Varagi Task Force who had an accident while on the Oksibil-Jayapura flight on June 28, 2019.
Previously, the M1-17V5 HA-5138 helicopter belonging to the Indonesian Army lost contact and was found in the Oksop District in early February, explained the Head of the Cartenz Peace Public Relations Task Force AKBP Bayu.
Head of the Peaceful Public Relations Task Force, Cartenz, said that a black-barreled firearm bearing NOVESKE with black binoculars had not been identified.
It is suspected that the firearms came from Papua New Guinea (PNG) which was purchased by the KKB Pegubin in early 2022.
Regarding the hundreds of ammunition that was also secured, it was suspected that they were obtained from the TNI AD Heli incident which had an accident while on the Oksibil-Jayapura flight and bought by PNG.
The three firearms and hundreds of ammunition were secured from the scene of a shootout with the KKB in Modusit village, Serambakon District, Saturday (30/9).
