Google Will Stop Virtual Jamboard Apps At The End Of 2024

JAKARTA - Google announced that it will stop its virtual paper application service, Jamboard by the end of 2024.

Jamboard is a whiteboard application made by a technology giant that gives users the ability to be able to collaborate virtually in real-time.

"At the end of 2024, we will stop the Jamboard whiteboard application and continue to stop previously planned support for the Google Jamboard device," Google wrote in an announcement on its workspace blog, recently.

Instead, to continue to provide all users with access to their collaborative digital whiteboards, Google will integrate other whiteboard tools such as FigJam, Lucidspark, and Miro across platforms on Google Workspace.

"We integrate whiteboard tools such as FigJam, Lucidspark, and Miro across Google Workspace so you can include them when collaborating on Meet, sharing content on Drive, or scheduling the Calendar," he added.

Google also presents this whiteboard solution to Avocor's One Board 65 and Desk 27 Series devices, so you can collaborate visually using physical and stylus devices.

Furthermore, the search giant promised to provide the ability to move data, so that users do not lose the collaborative work they have created on the Jamboard.

"We will provide migration routes for Jamboard data so that you don't lose any collaborative work that has been created in your organization," he concluded.

Finally, Google stated that Google Workspace subscriber admins affected will receive more detailed information and instructions via email in the future.
