Cak Imin Claims The Amin Bagged Kiai Restu At The Madura Islamic Boarding School

JAKARTA - The General Chairperson of the PKB as well as the vice presidential candidate for the Muhaimin Iskandar Change Coalition (Cak Imin) claims that he and the presidential candidate Anies Baswedan have obtained the blessing of the kiai in Madura, East Java. This was conveyed by Cak Imin during a political safari at the Annuqayah Islamic Boarding School, Guluk-guluk, Sumenep, East Java, yesterday. Cak Imin was initially grateful that he and Anies, who are often called the Amin couple, could visit the oldest boarding school in Madura. "Alhamdulillah, Mas Anies and his entourage can visit Annuqayah. Annuqayah Islamic Boarding School is one of the largest and oldest Islamic boarding schools in Madura," said Cak Imin, quoted in a press statement, Saturday, September 30.

Cak Imin and Anies then asked the ulama in Madura for their political steps in the future. This is the same as what he did in Banyuwangi, Jember, and Pasuruan the day before.

"Alhamdulillah, Kiai Annuqayah gave our blessing and support, praying for us in the presidential election later," he claimed. "As a Dwitunggal pair, we are committed to carrying out this task together. Filling in each other, complementing each other," continued Cak Imin.

Meanwhile, Anies said he was happy to be well received by the ranks of caregivers and administrators of Annuqayah Islamic Boarding School. The former governor of DKI Jakarta hopes that the support of the kiai will make the Amin pair's spirit to win the contest in the 2024 presidential election. "Hopefully this friendship will become a new spirit to carry out struggles and changes in a better direction," said Anies.
