Police Check Again Causes Of Fire 4 Offices At Pembak Jayapura

SENTANI - Jayapura Resort Police (Polres) is ready to re-check the cause of the fire point, resulting in four offices within the Regency Government (Pemkab) experiencing a fire on Thursday (17/8).

The results of the Laboratory and Forensic Division (Labfor) of the Papua Police stated that the fire was not caused by intentional elements using chemicals and gasoline obtained from dust (after inspection) of the remaining fire.

Jayapura Police Chief AKBP Fredrickus WA Maclarimboen in Sentani, Friday said that so far the witnesses examined have not increased to six people.

"While still, and we will dig again and sort before the day of the incident (the fire of four offices in the Jayapura Regency Government," he said.

According to the police chief, the investigation carried out by his party is still around the hotspots, and will look back and relate to previous events.

"Various issues may be circulating, but what is the motive for conveying the information, whether it is a clue or a diversion of issues," he said.

He explained that if there is an issue, you must first find out the truth of the information circulating.

"The issue or information that cannot be accounted for by the public does not need to respond and care about it," he said.

Evacuation checks from the remaining fires have been carried out and the results are negative, meaning that no external material was found that caused the fire.

The fire occurred in four offices, namely the KPUD, Archives and the Jayapura Regency Communication and Information Office and the Media Nusantara Cipta (MNC) Group transmission room.
