Regarding Different Parties With Jokowi And Gibran, Kaesang: It Shouldn't Be A Problem
JAKARTA - The youngest child of President Joko Widodo (Jokowi), Kaesang Pangarep, has officially obtained a member card (KTA) of the Indonesian Solidarity Party (PSI) today, Saturday, September 23.
This condition makes it different from his father, Joko Widodo (Jokowi) and his brother, Gibran Rakabuming Raka, who are members of the PDI Perjuangan (PDIP). However, Kaesang assessed that the difference should not be a problem.
"It shouldn't be a problem either," said Kaesang as quoted from the Surakarta News YouTube show, Saturday, September 23.
Kaesang assessed that he already had his own family after marrying Erina Gudono. Even so, he admitted that he had communicated with Jokowi to ask for his blessing to enter politics.
"Ask for your blessing but his name is very busy, right, you can get five minutes (to talk time, ed)," he said.

Previously, PDIP DPP chairman Djarot Saiful Hidayat stated that there was no problem if Kaesang joined PSI. The party bearing the bull symbol would also not summon President Jokowi because the decision did not violate internal regulations.
"Oh no, there is no need for clarification, independent people," Djarot told reporters at the PDIP DPP Office, Menteng, South Jakarta, Thursday, September 21.
Djarot agrees that there is a party regulation that the core family such as husband or wife and children should not be different parties. However, the president's son has freedom because he already has his own life.
"Regarding the decision, it is in the hands of the person concerned. Mas Kaesang is an adult, already independent, already married, we will submit it," he said.
"What is the core family? The child, who is our responsibility, is not married. This (Kaesang, red) is married and already has his own preferences, he has his own core family," continued Djarot.
