BPBD Calls 4 Districts In Buol, Central Sulawesi It's Been 2 Days Inundated By Floods

Central Sulawesi (Sulteng) Regional Disaster Management Agency (BPBD) said four sub-districts in Buol Regency since Wednesday, September 20 have been flooded. "There are four sub-districts that were affected by flooding, namely Bokat District, Bukat District, Tiloan District, and Momunu District," said Head of BPBD Central Sulawesi Akris Fattah Yunus in Palu, South Sumatra, Friday, September 22, which was confiscated by Antara. The flood caused high rain intensity on Wednesday, September 20 at around 16.35 to 21.20 WITA resulted in the overflow of the Buol River and inundated residential areas with water levels reaching about one meter.

He said that in Bonat District there were four villages that were flooded with 20 families (KK) affected in Bonat Village, 40 families in Langudon Village, and 70 families in Tikopo Village. In Bukal District, precisely in Mopu Village, 156 families or 696 people were affected. Meanwhile, in Tiloan District, there are also two affected villages, namely Balau Village with 221 families or 833 people and Bolan Village with around 60 families or 190 people.

"There are also three villages for Momunu District, including Pomayagon Village around 35 families, Tongon Village 25 families, and Lamadong Village submerging markets and sports fields," he said. He said. The need to urge residents is also clean water," he said. Currently, the Buol Regency BPBD Rapid Response Team (TRC) is still conducting assessments at flood locations and trying to normalize rivers. He also appealed to residents to increase awareness if they live in flood-prone areas.
