Vincenzo Montella Officially Becomes Turkey's National Team Coach After Stefan Kuntz Leaves

JAKARTA - The Turkish Football Federation (TFF) has announced the appointment of Vincenzo Montella, the Italian coach, as the new coach of the Turkish national team on Thursday, September 21. Montella will replace Stefan Kuntz, a German coach, who recently left his position.

Kuntz's departure came after he criticized his players for losing the test match against Japan with a score of 4-2.

Montella, 49, previously coached Turkish club Adana Demirspor for two years until June this year. He also has experience coaching several major European clubs, including AC Milan and Fiorentina in Italy, as well as Sevilla in Spain.

The signing of Montella's contract with the Turkish national team will be held at a ceremony in Istanbul on September 27, as announced by TFF. The contract to be held is three years long.

Furthermore, the Turkish national team will undergo the Euro 2024 qualifying match against Croatia on October 12.
