PDIP Not Planning To Call Jokowi Because Of The Issue Of Kaesang Joining PSI
PDI Perjuangan (PDIP) is said to be not going to summon President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) after circulating the issue of his youngest child, Kaesang Pangarep will join the Indonesian Solidarity Party (PSI).
This was conveyed by the Chairman of the PDIP DPP Djarot Saiful Hidayat in response to the news that Kaesang would join PSI. He said the decision was taken by himself because he was no longer the responsibility of his parents.
"Oh no, there is no need for clarification, independent people," Djarot told reporters at the PDIP DPP Office, Menteng, South Jakarta, Thursday, September 21.
Djarot agrees that there is a party regulation that the core family such as husband or wife and children should not be different parties. However, the president's son has freedom because he already has his own life.
"Regarding the decision, it is in the hands of the person concerned. Mas Kaesang is an adult, already independent, already married, we will submit it," he said.
"What is the core family? The child, who is our responsibility, is not married. This (Kaseang, red) is married and already has his own preferences, he has his own core family," continued Djarot.
Even so, Djarot said his party would remain open if Kaesang changed his mind and the news circulating did not happen.
However, PDIP does not want to force anyone to join. This is because those who enter the party bearing the bull symbol have an obligation to be able to cooperate in the Pancasila ideology.
"PDIP is open, especially for young people, please enter. It's very open, especially Mas Kaesang monggo, please. So we never refuse," he said.

Previously, the Indonesian Solidarity Party (PSI) account X or Twitter uploaded a video of a voice similar to the youngest son of President Joko Widodo (Jokowi), Kaesang Pangarep. In his narration, the man who calls himself 'Mawar' stated that he would enter politics.
Although his identity has not been stated, this raises a question mark from netizens regarding the truth that Kaesang has officially joined as a PSI cadre.
When asked for information, PSI Secretary General Isyana Bagoes Oka did not want to confirm that Kaesang officially entered the party led by Giring Ganesha.
"Please pray first," said Isyana in a short message to VOI, Wednesday, September 20.
