Sidoarjo Regency Government Will Add Flyover To Overcome Sepande Congestion
SIDOARJO - The Sidoarjo Regency Government (Pemkab), East Java, has added an overpass, precisely on the Sepande Village toll road, Candi District, from one currently available, to unravel congestion due to the high volume of vehicles.
"To realize this project, the Sidoarjo Regency Government is working with PTJasa Marga," said Sidoarjo Regent Ahmad Muhdlor as reported by ANTARA, Wednesday, September 20.
As a first step, he continued, in the near future field visits will be carried out to see the urgency of the flyover construction.
"We review to see the urgency. In addition to the flyover in Raya Sepande, we will also review the Sidokepung flyover, the Sukolegok flyover, and the Sepande flyover on the north side. If possible, build it all at once," he said.
The addition of this flyover was carried out, he said, given the high volume of vehicles passing Jalan Raya Sepande. Later the flyover will be built on the south side of the existing flyover, so that there will be two lanes that can be directly passed by four-wheeled vehicles.
"But we see which one is more important to build, now what is crowded with vehicles is the Sepande Flyover," he said.

With a width of less than five meters, passing four-wheeled vehicles must alternately waiting for traffic signs that regulate it.
"We are collaborating with PTJasa Marga to build the Sepande Raya Flyover on the south side," he said.
Dwi said the construction began in 2024 using the State Revenue and Expenditure Budget (APBN) and was carried out by PTJasa Marga.
"For the amount of the budget, it is purely from the APBN, not from the Sidoarjo APBD," he said.
