Police Check Up To 24 National Museum Fire Witnesses
Central Jakarta Metro Police Investigators are still gathering information from a number of witnesses regarding the fire in six rooms in Building A, National Museum of Indonesia, Central Jakarta.
On the third day after the fire at the Indonesian National Museum, the police had named 24 people as witnesses regarding the fire incident at the museum.
"Until now, the number of witnesses has increased to 24 people that we have examined. Additional includes workers and managers," said Central Jakarta Metro Police Chief Kombes Komarudin to reporters, Tuesday, September 19.
On the third day of the investigation into the fire case at the Indonesian National Museum, a joint team from the Police and the museum and conservator team were still carrying out their respective duties. Meanwhile, the forensic laboratory team is still conducting further investigations.

"Currently, there are still two rooms that we have not been able to enter. We have just worked in 4 rooms, the Inafis team or identification also with the curator team to comb through goods that of course we can save," he said.
Although 24 witnesses have gathered to dig up information related to the fire, the Central Jakarta Metro Police have not been able to conclude the exact cause of the fire.
"(The cause of the talent) It will be investigated later, of course, the results of the laboratory team will explain the cause of the museum's fire. The task of the police is that we are the first to determine the cause of the fire. The second is to ensure that the goods in the 6 rooms are there and are not lost," he explained.
