Calls Rage Against The Machine Favorite Band, Olivia Rodrigo: I Listened To Her Repeatedly

JAKARTA - Olivia Rodrigo mengungkapkan Rage Against The Machine adalah 'band favorit saya saat ini'.

Rodrigo discussed some of the influences behind his new album, Guts, in Rolling Stone magazine cover stories and cited the 90s political rap rock unit, RATM, and Babes In Toyland, as inspiration for his opening song All-American total.

Rodrigo remembers how he slept with a corner beside his bed at the age of 14 and was awakened by his mother who played Babes In Toyland's second album, Fontanelle, whom he listened to while dressed.

"Rock in a feminine way, that's the coolest thing in the world for me," he said.

Meanwhile, RATM has a greater influence on the refrain part of the song.

"I've heard so many Rage Against the Machine this year," he said. That's my favorite band at the moment. I'll play it over and over on the way to and from the studio.

Rodrigo also said he wanted to attend the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame inauguration in Brooklyn later this year, but could not because there was a conflict schedule that couldn't be changed' that stopped him.
