Assertive! Andreas Calls Sepultura's Current Formation 'Fantastic'
JAKARTA - In a new interview with Willy Radio which was conducted at theaturation festival last month in Kortrijk, Belgium, guitarist Andreas Kisser said firmly that Sepultura's current formation was fantastic.
This was revealed by the guitarist when he was asked about the list for Sepultura's 40th birthday tour which is scheduled to start next year.
"Yes, my friend, for next year, it will be a big problem. [carrying] But we want to try to do something on the setlist where we change the song. We like to play side B and side C and side D [goat] You know, songs we've never played before... Sometimes there are fans or friends who suggest something, and we do that," Kisser said.
"I mean, we have no problem dealing with our own catalog. It's great fun when we have a challenge to play something we haven't played for a long time. And the idea is to make a live album for next year, to celebrate Sepultura 40 years," he continued.
"The current [Sepultura] format, it's amazing. We feel really great on stage, clocking, playing songs from every part of our history, especially the Quadra song, which is amazing to play live. So we want to put it on a live album. And that's what we're going to do next year," he said.
Kisser previously discussed Sepultura's upcoming live album last month in an interview with Oran O'Beirne from Bloodstock TV.

"Next year we will celebrate 40 years of career, so the idea is to release a live album," he explained.
"We're actually recording everything right now; we're recording every show. It's great that right now, because of technology, we have this possibility, so we don't have to be too attached or restricted to a single or two show to record a live set."
"So the idea is to collect records from around the world and prepare for a very good release of celebrations for our history, our music. So, a new song or a new album, I don't even see that happening in the near future."
