The 2024 Cawapres Exchange, Only Sandiaga's Name Appears At The Ganjar Supporting Political Party Meeting
JAKARTA - The United Development Party (PPP) claims that only the name of the Chairman of Bappilu PPP who is also the Minister of Tourism and Creative Economy, Sandiaga Uno, who appeared as the assistant presidential candidate for Ganjar Pranowo at a meeting of the general chairmen of supporting political parties last week. This was conveyed by the Chairman of the Advisory Council of PPP, M. Romahurmuziy or Rommy to reporters, Monday, September 11. It is known that the chairmans of Ganjar's supporting political parties, namely the PDI-P, PPP, Hanura and Perindo held a meeting at the bull headquarters in Menteng, Jakarta, on Monday, September 4. "Only Mr. Sandi's name appeared at the meeting of the leaders last week. Because only PPP through Pak Mar proposed the name of the vice presidential candidate, namely Pak Sandi, according to the results of the PPP 17-18 Rapimnas last June," said Rommy.
"Meanwhile, the other ketums do not apply for the name of anyone's vice presidential candidate. So practically, there are no other names," he continued. The former chairman of PPP believes that Sandiaga is a couple that meets all objective needs of Ganjar Pranowo. According to him, Sandi is the only name that has ever existed in the presidential election ballot paper, representing votes outside Java, has economic background and has experience in the bureaucracy at the national level. "And have clear fanbases, namely mothers and millennials," he said.
Rommy revealed, in the discussion of the political party leaders, it was agreed that there would be a regular meeting. In addition, there is also a plan to discuss the figure of Ganjar vice president, and at the right time it will be decided together. "Of course this is done by observing the latest political conditions. Including the Ketums, it still opens up the possibility of joining other parties that have not decided or may change their minds," he said.

Rommy also emphasized that currently PPP is not in a position to consider a new coalition. As is the news circulating, it will form a new axis with Democrats and PKS. "Because PPP's support for Mas Ganjar is based on the continuation of the Ganjar-Taj Yasin Maimoen Zubair coalition in Central Java," he concluded.
