Head Of Education Office In Sikka NTT Becomes A Corruption Suspect In Teacher Professional Allowance
MAUMERE - Former Head of the Office of Education, Youth and Sports (PKO) of Sikka Regency, East Nusa Tenggara (NTT), Yosef Herianto Vandiron Sales or Heri Sales has been named by the Sikka District Attorney (Kejari) as a suspect in the alleged corruption case of teacher professional allowance funds.
Not only Heri Sales, the Sikka Kejari also suspects the TPG operator of the Sikka PKO Service, Iswadi as a suspect in this case.
After being named suspects, Heri Sales and Isnadi wore prison vests and were thrown into the Class II B Maumere Detention Center.
When escorted out of the Sikka District Attorney's office, Heri Sales and Iswadi did not comment on the media crew. Both of them immediately boarded the Sikka Kejari detention car which was waiting for them.
The head of the Sikka District Attorney's Office, Fatoni Hatam, said that his staff had examined 45 witnesses, most of whom were teachers who received TPG funds.
"Both of them were previously examined as witnesses, but today we have raised their status as suspects with the initials IS (Iswadi) and YHVS (Yosef Herianto Vandiron Sales)," said Fatoni, Friday, September 8.
He explained that Heri Sales allegedly ordered Isnwadi to cut the teacher professional allowance (TPG) funds in the first quarter of the 2023 fiscal year which did not match his needs.
From the corruption they committed, Heri Sales allegedly received around Rp. 642.1 million from the suspect Iswadi. Of that amount, Heri Sales gave IDR 52 million to Isnwadi.

Currently, both of them are being held at the Class II B Maumere Detention Center for the next 20 days until September 27, 2023, in order to simplify and speed up the investigation process.
From the results of the calculation of the Sikka District Inspectorate, the total state losses in this corruption case reached IDR 642,159,226.
Both were charged with Article 2 and Article 3 of the Corruption Eradication Law in conjunction with Article 55 of the Criminal Code.
