Regarding The Sumur Of Residents Of Mount Sindur Bogor Mixed With Fuel, This Is Pertamina's Explanation
JAKARTA - A video showing residents' well water in Pengasinan Village, Gunung Sindur District, Bogor Regency, West Java, dark blue, such as being mixed with fuel oil (BBM) has gone viral on Instagram social media.
The video was uploaded to the Instagram account @gunungsindurbogor.
The video caption explains that the well water in the village has been mixed with fuel oil (BBM) and is dangerous.
Responding to this, the Area Manager of Communication, Relation & CSR for the West Java Regional, PT Pertamina Patra Niaga, Eko Kristiawan, revealed that Pertamina and the nearest gas station immediately followed up on residents' reports on Thursday, September 7 at 15.00 WIB.
Eko said that the Sales Branch Manager (SBM) of Rayon VIII Pertamina Patra Niaga and the gas station conducted checks on 4 monitoring wells and bore wells at SPB 34,163.17.
However, said Eko, the results of the check did not contain fuel contamination and there was no leakage in the pendam tank.
Even so, the water in the residents' wells is indicated to be mixed with Pertalite.
"From the water sample brought by residents from the well which is 4-5 houses from the gas station, it is indicated that it was mixed by Pertalite type fuel," he told reporters, Friday, September 8.
"The housing position of the residents whose water was polluted by Pertalite is also different on higher ground and 100-150 meters away, or about three to four houses from behind the gas station," he continued.
Regarding this phenomenon, Eko said, his party was looking for the cause of the water in the residents' housing being polluted by Pertalite.
"This certainly needs to be explored, but this is the fact that was found yesterday," said Eko.

"Currently, mediation has also been carried out with residents who are contaminated, attended by residents, SBM Pertamina, representatives of gas stations, sub-districts, sub-districts, Danramil and Satpol PP with the results of all parties being able to accept the explanation submitted," he explained.
