The Ministry Of PUPR Targets The Labor Intensive Program For Settlements To Absorb 47,000 Workers
The Directorate General of Human Settlements of the Ministry of PUPR targets labor-intensive programs in the residential sector to be able to absorb 47,000 workers.
"For the plan to implement Labor Intensiveness or IBM at the Directorate General of Human Settlements, it is allocated Rp2.10 trillion. With an estimated workforce absorption of 47 thousand people," said Director General of Human Settlements of the Ministry of PUPR Diana Kusumastuti in a written statement, on Thursday, September 7.
Diana said that her party will continue to implement the Community-Based Labor/Infrastructure Program (IBM) in the residential sector in the 2024 Fiscal Year (TA).
The budget allocation is channeled through the Community-Based Water Supply and Community-Based Sanitation (Pams) program, Community-Based Sanitation (Sanimas), Sanitation of Religious Education Institutions (LPK), Waste Management Places Reduce, Reuse, Recycle (TPS3R), Development of Regional Socio-Economic Infrastructure (PISEW), and support for the Handling of Extreme Poverty spread across 15 locations.
The implementation of PISEW is spread over 738 locations with a projected workforce absorption of 11,075 people. As for Sanimas, it is spread across 1,546 locations with a projected workforce absorption of 15,455 people.
Next, LPK Sanitation spread over 1,279 locations with 7,648 people, TPS3R was carried out in 173 locations with 1,722 people, and Pamsimas which was held in 1,183 locations with a projected workforce of 11,829 people.

"Regarding the implementation of Labor/IBM Intensiveness, we hope that the proposal can be submitted from mid-September 2023 to October 2023 for further verification. Thus, recruitment and training for facilitators can be carried out in early 2024," said Diana.
He added that the Ministry of PUPR through the Secretariat General (Secretary General) also continues to strive to increase transparency and disclosure of information regarding the implementation of the Labor/IBM Intensive Program to the public. Including, the process of collecting proposals for the Labor/IBM Intensive Program at the Directorate General of Human Settlements.
"As a follow-up to the recommendations for the KPK study, we carry out online (online) the PUPR Ministry website which is currently being compiled by the Secretary General," Diana added.
