Woman Who Challenges The Debate Of The National Police Chief Reports Police Officers To Propam
JAKARTA - The high school student who challenged the open debate of the National Police Chief, General Listyo Sigit Prabowo, made a report to the Police Propam Division. The teenager named Kate Victoria Lim, complained that she felt she was a victim of an unpleasant act allegedly committed by one of her elements.
"The purpose of my visit to Propam today is to report a police officer from one of the members of the Dit Tipid Siber Bareskrim Polri to Propam," Kate told reporters at the National Police Headquarters, Jakarta, Thursday, September 7.
This problem began when Kate sent a YouTube video link to a number suspected to belong to a police officer with the rank of second inspector (ipda) with the initials BS. The video is about Kate's opinion regarding the defamation case that ensnared her father, lawyer Alvin Lim, which was broadcast on the Qoutient TV YouTube channel.
"Then on August 20, 2023 I sent a video to the WhatsApp number entitled 'Adversary Justice Kate Victoria Lim' from the Qoutient TV YouTube channel with the intention that the officer could hear my version of the opinion of justice, but the reply I got was dirty words, which I don't think it's appropriate to say that someone who is an adult, let alone a policeman who works in an institution like this," said Kate.
Because Kate admits that she doesn't really understand the words in the chat sent by the alleged number belonging to Ipda BS, the 16-year-old girl then conducted a search on Google, to find out what it means.
"It turns out that this means that I am the perpetrator of immoral acts. I am also said to be a dog or animal even though I am a human being," said Kate.

Kate confirmed that the number belonged to a Police officer. Because, he said, Ipda BS was the investigator who handled his father's case.
"In the case of defamation (which ensnared my father), there was a summons for examination containing the investigator's name and phone number stored in my father's cellphone number with the name BS listed," said Kate.
Furthermore, Kate regretted the reply from the number which demeaned her. Even if he is wrong, he is ready to be reprimanded and advised.
"I'm willing to be reprimanded, I don't have to use slander and insults like that. How can you reply to people's messages like this?" he said.
Kate also handed over this problem to Propam. He resigned if the report was processed or not by Propam. Even so, he still hopes that there will be action against the perpetrators.
