Office Burning And Principal Persecution Revealed In Fakfak Papua Series, 3 KKB Affiliated Suspects
PAPUA - West Papua Police Chief Inspector General Daniel Tahi Monang Silitonga said the perpetrators of the burning of two district and school offices in Fakfak Regency were known to be affiliated with armed criminal groups (KKB).
"Some of the perpetrators are affiliated with the KKB," said Daniel Silitonga at the West Papua Police Headquarters, Manokwari Regency, West Papua, Monday, September 4, which was confiscated by Antara.
Daniel explained that the police continued to investigate because the statements given by 80 witnesses were less cooperative and often changed.
However, the police have received confessions from three suspects who were arrested on Thursday, August 31, regarding the motive for the arson and persecution that killed the head of the Krambongga District.
"As soon as a suspect was arrested, everyone kept their mouths shut; but the suspect's statement, they did not agree with the Unitary State of the Republic of Indonesia," explained Daniel.
He explained that the results of the examination of the three suspects were also revealed, the burning of public facilities in Fakfak Regency was a series planned by the group.
The burning of public facilities in question are the Kramongga District Office, the State Junior High School 4 Kokas building, the Central Fakfak District Office, and the persecution of the district head to death.
"We are still investigating so that their confession will be adjusted to the facts on the ground," he said.
Meanwhile, the Head of Public Relations (Kabidhumas) of the West Papua Police, Kombes Pol. Adam Erwindi said the three suspects who had been arrested had the initials FK, VPK, and TH.
The three are known to be involved in the anarchist act of burning the district office, burning the entertainment stage for the August 17 celebration, assaulting the district head, and burning the SMP Negeri 4 Kokas building.
"The police have named three people as suspects," said Adam.

He explained that the crime together resulted in the death of the district head, as referred to in Article 340 of the Criminal Code in conjunction with Article 170 paragraph (1) to -3e of the Criminal Code and Article 187 of the Criminal Code in conjunction with Article 55 paragraph (1) to 1e of the Criminal Code, had been upgraded from investigation to the investigation stage.
The Dirreskrimum Team of the West Papua Police together with the Fakfak Police continue to optimize the investigation process so that all perpetrators are revealed.
"There are 21 people who are included in the DPO (wanted list)," explained Adam.
According to him, the anarchic action that occurred in Fakfak Regency became the attention of the West Papua Police. Therefore, the West Papua Police strengthened security in Fakfak Regency to narrow the space for the alleged perpetrators.
"This case is the attention of the (West Papua) regional police chief so that it will be resolved immediately," said Adam.
He appealed to all people who know the whereabouts of the perpetrators to immediately inform the police through Call Center 110.
For information, 25 unidentified people carried out vandalism accompanied by the burning of the Kramongga District Office, 4 Kramongga State Junior High School, and abused the Head of Kramamongga District, Darson Hegemur, to death on Tuesday, August 15 evening, at around 19.30 WIT.
Two days later, on Friday, July 18, at 03.30 WIT, the Central Fakfak District Office in Fakfak Regency was burned down.
