Angkot Driver In Medan Caught Selling Cannabis To Add Deposit Money

The personnel of the Padangsidimpuan Police Narcotics Investigation Unit arrested a marijuana-type narcotics dealer angkot driver in Rimba Soping Village, Angkola Julu District, Padangsidimpuan City, North Sumatra.

The suspect is FHS (32), a resident of Rimba Soping Village, Angkola Julu District, Padangsidimpuan City. The perpetrator argued to sell marijuana to add deposit money to the angkot.

"The man was arrested by officers last Thursday at around 22.30 WIB and managed to confiscate a marijuana package ready for distribution wrapped in 5.21 grams of gross rice paper," said Head of the Padangsidimpuan Police Narcotics Investigation Unit AKP Jasama H Sidabutar on Sunday, September 3.

Jasama said the suspect had now been detained for the investigation and development of the drug case.

"The cannabis leaves that the suspect wanted to sell to the buyer were a saving package. A number of marijuana was put wrapped in rice wrapping paper. Four packs were found," he said.

He explained that the arrest of the drug case began with public information to the Padangsidimpuan Police Narcotics Unit that in one of the stalls owned by residents in Rimba Soping Village, drug transactions often occur.

Then the Drug Opsnal Team went down to the location to conduct an investigation. At the TKP, personnel saw the suspicious movements of a man who claimed to have the initials FHS.

"Furthermore, officers made arrests and searches, then found a number of evidences of marijuana," he said.

Jasama said that during interrogation by officers, the suspect FHS admitted that the marijuana was obtained from a friend named D, a resident of Padangsidimpuan City.

The suspect selling marijuana has only been for a few months, to friends and known people.

"Personnel have developed D men, but until now they have not been found. Because they have managed to escape. Furthermore, the suspect and evidence were brought to the Padangsidimpuan Police for further investigation," he said.

Kasatres Narkoba added that when he was arrested by the police, he found a number of evidences, including four packages of marijuana wrapped in 5.21 grams of gross rice paper, five pieces of tiktak paper with one cell phone used by the perpetrator to communicate with suppliers and customers.

"For his actions, the suspect was charged with Article 111 and Article 112 of Law Number 35 of 2009 concerning Narcotics," said Jasama.
