Draw Persib 1-1, Persija Five Times Tanding Without Victory In Liga 1
JAKARTA Persija Jakarta and Persib Bandung closed the match week 11 of Liga 1 Indonesia 2023/2023 with a 1-1 draw at Patriot Candrabhaga Stadium, Bekasi, West Java, Saturday, September 2, 2023.
This result extends Persija's record without a win to five consecutive matches. In the previous four matches, they lost twice and drew twice.
Eight minutes the game went on, Persija immediately lost their mainstay player Riko Simanjuntak. He seemed to have problems with his thigh so he was immediately replaced by Rio Fahmi.
Six minutes after that, Persija Jakarta, who appeared aggressive from the start, could immediately lead over their arch rivals.
The opening goal for the Kemayoran Tigers was scored by Marco Simic. The Croatian international scored a goal using a pass from Polish player Maciej Gajos.
In the second half of the match, Persib, who trailed by one goal in the first half, appeared open. They continued to chase goals to equalize with the home team.
Persija, who are already superior, also do not want to play closed. They repeatedly troubled the Maung Bandung defense to increase their advantage, but until the middle of the second half there was no result.
In the midst of an effort to add goals, the Kemayoran Tigers even had to play with ten players from the 74th minute after their player Hanjif Sjahbandi was expelled by the referee.
The 26-year-old was rewarded with their card immediately for grappling with opposing player Nick Kuipers. Both were noisy in the penalty box when Persib was about to take a free kick.
Persib, who excelled in the number of players, then succeeded in identifying the score to 1-1 in the 84th minute. Their goal was scored by David Silva to maximize Marc Klok's pass.
In the remaining time the two teams continued to return attacks. However, the draw lasted until the referee blew the long whistle marking the game disbanded.
