Sido Muncul Immediately Builds 3 Megah Hotels In Semarang
JAKARTA - PT Industri Jamu and Pharmacy Sido Muncul Tbk (SIDO) will soon realize the construction of three magnificent hotels in Semarang City. Director of Sido Muncul, Irwan Hidayat, said that the construction project for 3 five-star hotel buildings in Semarang was designed with modern architecture, accompanied by the concept of local wisdom and did not prioritize foreign designs.
"The plan to build the three five-star hotels is to anticipate the improvement in the growth of the property industry in the future, as well as to welcome the rise of the tourist sector in the capital city of Central Java," said Irwan, quoted Thursday, August 31.
According to Irwan, the three magnificent hotels that will be built are an 'anticipation' of improving economic growth in Semarang City, especially and Central Java in general. The establishment of three hotels in Semarang, said Irwan, will certainly spur trade growth in Semarang City, considering that hotel operations require a lot of work.
The huge potential for tourism in Semarang is evidenced by tourist visits which reach 5 million people in 2022 or after the COVID-19 pandemic. This potential is necessary to be developed again with other tourism facilities and attractions.
"What is in Semarang City now is actually complete, and Semarang City is very worthy to be the main entrance to tourism in Central Java," said Irwan.
Irwan added that the construction of a number of hotels in Semarang will contribute PAD from VAT tax payments, hotel operations, apartments, malls, both in the form of VAT, PPh, as well as land and building taxes (PBB) which are expected to contribute quite a large tax contribution to the Semarang City Government.
"Why am I investing in Semarang? This is because Semarang has more potential than I have to invest in Bali. In Semarang there is already historical tourism, religious tourism, legendary culinary tourism, natural tourism in the Ungaran mountains and Javanese sea beaches," he explained.
Irwan admitted that he prefers to invest in Semarang. Irwan also hopes that other investors will invest in Semarang.
"Number one is the facility and it depends on investors. What can investors enter? Yes, it's half finished. If this is published continuously that the most conducive and profitable investment place in Semarang, everyone is here," said Irwan.

Moreover, Semarang has been supported by adequate infrastructure including General Ahmad Yani International Airport, Tanjung Emas Port and Trans Java toll roads.
"The city of Semarang six years ago is much different from today, even in the next five years we are sure that the capital city of Central Java will become an area where it has a bright future with passionate business, the economy continues to grow, infrastructure is getting better, and becoming an industrial area, including in the tourism sector," said Irwan.
Irwan said the construction of the three soon-to-be-realized five-star hotels is located on Jalan Sisingamangaraja, Klipang and on Jalan Ahmad Dahlan in front of the Telogorejo Hospital. The three hotels are equipped with various facilities, including a large ballroom, meetingroom, swimming pool, sports fitness and others.
