Banjarbaru Police Reveals Case Of 3.71 Kg Of Crystal Methamphetamine Packaged With Chinese Tea
BANJARBARU - Sat Resnarkoba Polres Banjarbaru, South Kalimantan (Kalsel) revealed that as many as 3.71 kilograms of methamphetamine-type narcotics wrapped in three Chinese tea packages were ready to be distributed from the rented house of the perpetrator with the initials SM (38) alias Mili in Banjar Regency.
Banjarbaru Police Chief AKBP Dody Harza Kusumah said personnel revealed the case on Tuesday (22/8) based on the development of the investigation of the results of the arrest of another perpetrator with the initials FR alias Izal in Banjarbaru on Wednesday (16/8).
"FR admitted to getting methamphetamine from SM, then personnel developed the case and found 3.7 kilograms of crystal methamphetamine in SM's rented house," said Dody, quoted by ANTARA, Wednesday, August 30.
Dody said that the main actor FR, who claimed to have received goods from SM, was caught possessing around 14.39 grams of crystal methamphetamine in Banjarbaru City, then personnel carried out an investigation on Tuesday (22/8) to a SM rented house in Banjar but was caught by another perpetrator with the initials AS alias Isur with evidence of around 3.1 grams of methamphetamine.
"Personnel found three packs of Chinese tea-packaged tea containing about 3 kilograms of crystal methamphetamine and seven plastic clips containing 700 grams of crystal methamphetamine in different rented houses," he said.
After finding evidence of 3.7 kilograms of crystal methamphetamine, personnel arrested the owner of the rented house as well as the main perpetrator, namely SM at the Ciputra Mitra Hospital, Banjar Regency.

The perpetrator and all evidence were secured to the Banjarbaru Police for further case development and legal proceedings.
Dody said the SM perpetrator admitted that he was ordered by other people to distribute the 3.71 kilograms of crystal methamphetamine.
The perpetrator is suspected of Article 114 paragraph 2 sub-Article 112 paragraph 2 of the Republic of Indonesia Law Number 35 of 2009 concerning Narcotics and Article 84 paragraph 2 of the Criminal Code.
