Thousands Of Joint TNI-Polri Personnel Ready To Secure President Jokowi's Kunker In Palu Tomorrow

PALU - Thousands of joint TNI and Polri personnel are ready to provide security in the context of President Joko Widodo's working visit to Palu, Central Sulawesi, Wednesday, August 30.

"The security readiness is to ensure that we are able to guarantee the security of the President of the Republic of Indonesia and his entourage while we are here," said the Commander of Kodam XIII/Merdeka, Major General TNI Legowo Jatmiko during a security force rally at Yonif 711 Raksatama Field, Palu, as reported by ANTARA, Tuesday, August 29.

The deployment of troops is carried out to check the readiness of the VVIP security task force (Satgaspam), both personnel, materials, and other supporting facilities to ensure Jokowi's work visit runs in an orderly, smooth and safe manner.

Maj. Gen. Jatmiko requested that the task be carried out with full responsibility according to their respective duties and functions.

"Remember, the safety of the President of the Republic of Indonesia is the honor and pride of the Indonesian nation. wherever he is and is active, we must be able to ensure the safety of him and his entourage," he said.

Therefore, the Pangdam emphasized that all personnel can uphold the discipline and fixed procedures of the provisions of the law - the invitation that becomes the legal umbrella for the implementation of VVIP security so that unwanted things do not occur.

The Pangdam also reminded to avoid actions that are not sympathetic, arrogant, and arrogant that do not at all reflect the behavior of a state apparatus.

"Coordination and communication between units and cross-sectors so that whatever happens we can face and finish it quickly, completely, and precisely," he said.

Finally, the Pangdam emphasized that joint personnel should also be aware of and monitor vulnerable areas with efforts to anticipate integrated and cross-sectoral handling.

Jokowi is scheduled to visit Tadulako University Campus with the agenda of opening the 13th Mahasabha of the Dharma Indonesia Central Sulawesi Hindu Student Association, Wednesday (30/8).
