Joint Officers Put Out Fires In The Dangdeur Subang Forest Area
Joint officers extinguished a fire that burned about 1 hectare of forest land in the Dangdeur area, Subang Regency, West Java.
"Officers involved in extinguishing the fire from BPBD, TNI ranks from Yonif 312 Kala Hitam and Subang Police," said Head of Subang Regency Regional Disaster Management Agency (BPBD) Udin Jazudin, quoted by ANTARA, Monday, August 28.
Land fires in the forest area occurred suddenly and the exact cause is not yet known. It is suspected that this happened due to extreme weather in the dry season as it is today.
BPBD Subang deployed personnel from the picket team and one tank car to the scene to help extinguish the fire.
Udin said there were two units of Subang fire engines and one tank supporting the water supply belonging to Yonif Kala Hitam which was lowered in the blackout process.
"The area of the burned land is about 1 hectare, and thank God it was successfully extinguished," he said.

Meanwhile, at another point, fires also occurred in the land of the former Panembong Subang landfill. The fire on the land has been going on for the last four days, and is still in the process of being extinguished by a joint team in Subang.
Udin appealed to residents to increase their vigilance and not to take actions that could trigger fires during the dry season.
"We urge the public to be careful and alert, such as not throwing cigarette butts carelessly. We also convey that for the time being people do not burn land because it is very vulnerable," he said.
